Clinical Legal Education Center
Introduction
KU CLEC (Clinical Legal Education Center) is the first legal clinic in Korea established for Law School students who as prospective judicial officers are provided with the opportunity to receive practical education, foster competence, and cultivate the spirit of service.
The original purpose of the Legal Clinic was to offer practicum courses within the Law School, but it first began its operation on a trial basis from June 2008 to January 2009 targeting undergraduate students under the title of GLC (Global Legal Clinic). On February 4, 2009, the Clinic officially opened with the title of CLEC, and is currently operating according to the original purpose by offering a course for practical training called Clinical Legal Practicum. The KU CLEC is one of the most active legal clinics in Korean law schools.
