  • Collections: series of continuing Western publications related to law, resources published after 2000, newly subscribed resources
  • Hours: 09:00~17:30 during semesters, 09:00~16:30 during summer/winter breaks, closed on Saturdays and Sundays

    09:00~15:00 on Saturdays (09:00~13:00 on Saturdays during summer/winder breaks)

Process of using WEB DB related to law
  • Type in the name of DB in the search engine of the library homepage (http://library.korea.ac.kr)
  • Select the WEB DB on the resource type of limited search result on the left > Click the URL under the name of WEB DB
    (Login is necessary when accessing outside the school/ Capitalization and spacing matters when searching)
Korean Law
1. LawnB

Legal information site in Korea, possesses the largest number of precedents in Korea (about seventy thousand precedents of lower instance in possession), three-level comparative view, provides integrated search for more than 50 types of law related resources, provides various literature, legal professionals, forms, administrative documents, corporate legal affairs, and news.

2. LawnB : Onju

ONJU commentary service for domestic law, basic six laws, provides commentaries for various laws that have high demand in practice such as the Personal information Protection Act, the Building Act, and the Fair Trade Act. Provides searching of original text, three-level comparative view, and clipping function.

3. SAMILi.com

Practical information service for tax, accounting, law, and finance. Provides original PDF file of academic literature

4. Gyeongguk Daejeon

Provides commentary and translation. Contains research paper on historical records of Gyeongje Yookjeon and Gyeongguk Daejeon. Contains 25 types of various lists, and dictionary of bureaucracy organizations of the past and names of public office. Organized into 6 chapters based on 6-chapter system. Contains images of the original text containing 850,000 letters. Concurrent search available.

5. Daejeon Hoetong

Commentary and translation provided by the Korea Legislation Research Institute includes all the previously translated copies. Reflects research achievements of academia. Organized into 6 chapters based on 6-chapter system. Consists of 226 provisions. Contains images of the original text. Concurrent search available.

6. North Korean Law DB

112 types of North Korean Laws and 15 newly amended laws until 2009 are available for searching. Previous laws and amended laws can be compared.

7. Jeorokgyugam (折獄龜鑑)

Translation composition. Contains 20 texts, 280 provisions, and over 400 itinerary regarding temple, determination, government administration, suspicion.

German Law
8. Beck Online

Provides various legal resources including German laws, precedents, commentaries, handbooks, encyclopedia, legal magazines, and forms, and provides full-text of Fach News

9. Juris

Database for German legal information. Detailed history of vast precedents and laws is available for searching. Abstracts of articles included in legal periodicals of Germany can be accessed (ID and password is needed)

American Law
10. Hein Online

Provides Federal Register, Regal Classics, U.S Federal Legislative History, U.S Statutes at Large and collection of legal data

Provides search engine for legal record and images

Integrated searching service for law, news, business, and corporate information

Provides legal data of England and America and EU (precedents, legal review and journals), provides multi-language platform

Japanese Law
13. TKC Law Library

Provides Japanese precedents, laws, literature, legislation journals based on ‘LEX/DB Internet’ which is Japanese TKC Legal Information Database

Can be accessed through on campus PC that has IP authentication, concurrent connection restricted to 1 user (Must logout after use)

14. WorldTradeLaw.net

Database of core text and dispute decisions, summary and analysis of WTO and GATT, and legal issues regarding international trade laws. Provides global legal documents and contracts, panel report of WTO/GATT, information on precedents and on-going disputes. Provides DSC service and blog.
